Yesterday was a magical day, I sure felt it.
Hubby called me from work and told me he got 4 tickets to go the Chicago Blackhawks hockey game, which was a really nice surprise. And I noticed that the Dow had closed above 10,000 for the first time in more than a year.
Coincidentally, Jupiter, the planet of good luck, miracles, healings, gifts and finances went direct the day before. It’s been retrograde for sometime since the Spring. I was anticipating good things happening this week with Jupiter.
From the moment my day started it was wonderful. I started with an amazing session with a client that left me buzzing from the inside out, I taught about Hawaiiana at my daughter’s school and had rave reviews. I surprised my son when he came home that we were going to the hockey game, his first professional game.
When hubby came home, we couldn’t figure out exactly where our seats were on-line, section H? Enter at gate 2 1/2? Apparently these were box seats with free parking which was nice.
Well, that’s just the START of the nice things to come.
Our free parking was right across the street from gate 2.5! Usually you pay at least $20-$25 to walk a few blocks to the United Center. But directly across the street?
Our “gate” was these “nondescript” glass engraved doors with elegant etching that said, “Premium Seating” entrance. Huh?
Once inside the gate in our own private corridor, we were then met with our very own private elevator. WITH an elevator man! HUH?!
And once we made it to our skybox in the mysterious Section H, we were welcomed with fancy leather furnishings, beautiful interior design, and the most pleasant of stadium workers to meet and greet us.
This was NO skybox indeed. This was heaven. Apparently they knocked out the boxes on the entire side of the building – this area easily accommodated 100 guests or so. There were gourmet food buffets set up with meat carvers, chefs with tall hats, crystal and china, and servers everywhere. There were long swanky bars, leather sofas, a fireplace, big screen TVs, and Wii set up. Seating was in clusters, some around bar height tables, others sitting around the arena, the seats were plush leather, and we had tables to put our food on in front of us. No food on the floor or having to hold a beverage or a child’s snack…no, we had tables. And we were seated on carpeting. Nice carpeting.
I was stunned. And there were no cash transactions. No bills. No cashiers, just all you can eat and drink, everything neatly hidden away. No tip jars. The cash value of our tickets weren’t even printed on the tickets! No one hustling you for tips, no one rushing you to get your order, and did I mention the desserts? It was like a wedding when the dessert table is presented, except this was during the 3rd period. And they even had the sense to leave the fancy hotdogs out on their stainless steel grills and crystal condiment bowls. We ate off of fine china, and had linen napkins.
Yes, this was for an NHL hockey game. My kids first ever hockey game, and this is THEIR experience? Oh my.
And during the game, I looked around, at all of the people at the game, this game filled to capacity, where I know that seats against the glass are about $200, and seats in the upper rafters are easily $75. I was awed by the abundance at the game. I was awed by being surrounded by such a mass of people who were thriving and doing so economically well that they could come to the game, pay for all of this entertainment, and keep going on with their lives.
Where we sat, which was absolutely the poshest place around, was sponsored by Harris Bank. Hmmm….I was a little surprised at how resistant I was to fall into appreciation over a bank considering how the economy and banks and insurance companies have been behaving for the past year.
But, wow! I remembered if I damn the things and people who have the goods that I want, the lifestyle that I want…then I damn myself and my creations to heck. I hold myself apart from them in damnation…so yesterday, I really flooded appreciation and gratitude to our banks and the system. The experience I was having was absolutely intoxicating, and would I like more of that? Absolutely, please.
So I found a niche where I was appreciating the banks and their CEOs being so selfish and so clear on what they need to function, to operate, and to support their CEOs with such outlandish, unapologetic clarity on their lifestyle and their worlds and what it takes to keep that going.
Cause you know what? I kinda like it. And I like people being the selfish beacons that they are to create such a magnificent experience that I’ll never forget, it was just so life giving and delightful and adventurous and fun.
I woke up today in absolutely awe of it all.
And I realized, if this is the good luck we’re upon when Jupiter is strong and out of retrograde and our financial system is already benefiting by it’s 10K+ perfermance yesterday, all is well. All is good. And how much do I love our economy and banking system now? It might be far from perfect, but it has desire, it has clarity, and we’re all asking for more.
And all that we’ll ever need will always be there, and will surprise and delight us in the mightiest of ways.
When we got home, I just had to look online to see what was up with the Harris Club – and how does one get regular access there? Well, to put this in perspective, one season ticket/seat is over $15K! The price/ticket comes to about $175/ticket.
Amazing that the Universe called up and said, “Hey, do you want to enjoy a night out on the town to your specifications? Here’s $700 worth of tickets, food, parking, and drinks.”
It was by far one of the easiest, most comfortable, totally next-logical-step abundant creation I’ve manifested…and the best was it just happened. I didn’t plan anything…except perhaps the last game we went to back in April and all of the appreciation I showered upon that experience played into this evolving dream.
I just love our economy! I love where we’re all headed! It’s All good!
