Spring has Sprung! Courage, growth, and trust

a patch of sunlight
Spring has certainly sprung, the days are considerably longer, and the buzz, the energy of excitement and moving forward is undeniable. No looking back.  Vibrancy and resiliency are shimmering everywhere, plants and flowers coming back, surprising and delighting us as they burst through the ground with new growth. It always surprises me every year, how nature is so perfectly in sync with timing and growth. Like our beautiful blossoms and beasts, we too, have that undeniable life-force rising within and wanting to be fed and nourished.

According to Chinese Medicine, the Spring organs are the liver and gallbladder, they have work to do and will see to it that it is done! They’ve been somewhat dormant during the course of the fall and winter, and now are awake and ready, they are energizing indeed. What these organs need this time of year, are exactly what you will see in season at your local market.  Greens, green juices, strawberries, asparagus, and more leafy greens. You will even find liver and gallbladder friendly weeds growing in your lawn such as  purslane, creeping charlie, garlic mustard, and bright white day lily shoots are a few of my favorites!

Additionally, if you’re wanting some amazing and compelling information on liver health, liver cleansing, and more liver cleansing,  I couldn’t recommend Dr. Gary Young’s training transcripts on these topics, as well as the Re’Juva’Nate Liver Cleansing protocol more. Every time I read his insights, I take away more and more whether it’s on a physical, emotional, or spiritual basis. He has some ground breaking information that is incredibly valuable, and Dr.LeAnne Deardeuff ingeniously weaves YL products and natural health with her two books “Inner Transformations Using Essential Oils” and “Ultimate Balance.”

As for me, I find that my body still enjoys Master Cleanse lemonade here and there; but the her big longing and calling has sprung forth: green juices! Green Lemonade is my go to raw green juice, however,  any type of green juice is surely beneficial this time of year.  I’m finding that I’m also bulking up on protein, raw protein drinks, maca, and reaching for more of my essential amino acid supplements.  I chew on a few JuvaTone here and there, and enjoying the essential oil blends of JuvaFlex, JuvaCleanse, and Surrender. With a dab of Joy layered on top.  If you’ve been noticing that you’re more tired during the noon hour, or early afternoon; it might mean that your liver and gallbladder are sluggish and overburdened. Bump up your colon cleanse routine, eat your greens, and start a liver-friendly cleansing protocol; and go slowly. I wouldn’t touch a liver cleansing regime until I’ve completed a thorough colon cleanse, it will certainly make you sick and miserable otherwise.

Take your time, feel for the courageous one within you, because that you is ready to step out into the world totally and completely on your behalf. Trust. You made it through the winter, now it is time to solidify your trust within the greater world.

Happy Cleansing!

Nurturing the lymphatic system – get movin’ and groovin’

Spring is right around the corner, and my body has this incredible impulse as of late to be stretching and moving and breathing more deeply.  It almost feels as instinctive as animals that migrate or hibernate.  My body feels like it’s wanting to shed the excess that was protecting me and keeping me warm this winter, my body is really aligning with movement, foods that are promoting movement and peristalic action, and sunshine to feed my skin and warm all of me.

We’re nearing the end of the winter, and I believe kidneys are happy and satisfied and ready to charge the immune system now that we’re in Pisces.  Pisces rules the feet and the lymphatic system, so how appropriate we’re wanting to put our feet forward and move and groove in more productive and satisfying ways. And as we enjoy longer days and being outside, visiting with community, neighbors, friends, and family, of course our immune systems and lymphatic systems would need energizing. The lymph helps to trap toxins, and all that toxic stuff or dying off stuff that we no longer need which saw us through the winter, the lymph is wanting to thin and isolate that which is no longer needed.

I’m finding that I’m reaching for citrus such as organic oranges, lemons, and grapefruit.  They’re so rich in vitamin C, good for cleansing the liver, and for cleansing the lymph.  I’ve been finding myself adding Grapefruit essential oil to my water, and lemonades; and I can tell that it’s helping to really stimulate and circulate the lymph.  (By the way, if you are going to use Essential Oils internally, make absolutely certain that beyond being pure and organic, they are FDA approved for internal consumption and/or Earth-Kosher Certfied.  There will be a seal on the bottle indicating this safety status. Otherwise, don’t bother, you might have an adverse reaction internally or externally.)

This is a great time for dry brushing – I adore dry-brushing before my shower, my body tingles, and I can feel the lymph moving as well. To dry-brush, you simply purchase a high-quality brush, it can be hair brush or spa brush, but you want the bristles to be from boar.  There’s something about the firmness of the brush that really helps to stimulate and massage the skin without being too harsh. Sometimes I put essential oils on my brush, and, wow! That’s quite a treat! And while I’m in the shower, I’ve been reaching for my baking soda more frequently as that does a nice job of cleansing the surface of my skin, like a nice, gentle exfoliant that cleanses your aura as well!

By the way, can I  just mention Cel-Lite Massage Oil one more time? It has been one of my favorite essential oil blends this season, perfect for supporting the kidneys, cleansing the lymph, and assisting with detox.  I never realize how wonderful and supportive this blend is, and I just realized how great it is for supporting the liver. I won’t be suprised if I end up using this massage oil through the spring and into the summer.

So, happy Spring-on-it’s-way and thank you so Winter so very much for drawing us all within, stirring up our inner journeys, and preparing us for a beautiful season of growth.

Liver Cleanse question and answers…

This question was posed at one of the YL groups:

Who has done the liver cleanse following the rejuvenation kit (with all its products/ingredients) ?  How did it work?  Did you alternate anything? and why?  How long did you cleanse?

I would like to start a cleanse next month and I need some advice?  Should I use all the products specified?  Is it o.k. to alternate any products? Did you use the vita juice mix several times a day?  Did you include the mucus eliminator?

K

And I informally responded with the following advice:

hi K,

lotsa info on the liver cleanse and YL products at the cleansing forum: http://ylcleansers.com/index.php?board=7.0

i would be sure to read the transcripts from the rejuvanate program: http://ylcleansers.com/index.php?topic=975.0

and the 3 series on juvacleanse your liver:
http://ylcleansers.com/index.php?topic=978.0
http://ylcleansers.com/index.php?topic=979.0
http://ylcleansers.com/index.php?topic=980.0

also…liver cleansing can make you REALLY sick, i would not do a liver cleanse until i did a thorough colon cleanse (expel the mucoid plaque), then a yeast, parasite, kidney, and master cleanse. liver cleansing is tough and can make you really really sick – i’ve been there. did all of those cleanses and was still sick as a dog. absolutely make sure you have got candida undercontrol beforehand; surprisingly the majority of us are yeasted and we don’t even know it.

good luck!

Pain in your lower back while colon or liver cleansing could mean kidney debris or stones!

Well, did I have an unexpected crash course in kidney cleansing this past week!

Kidney cleansing is not as often discussed as colon, liver, or a master cleanse. I know that I’ve always had the assumption that if I were doing a Master Cleanse, then my kidneys were probably covered. Well, I think they’re partially covered, not completely. I never realized how intimately the kidney was related to the liver and colon when cleansing, and how all the debris released from those cleanses could be deposited back into the kidneys.  (See my post at the YLCleansers forum for more information; and yes, I’m not surprised at all given my experience, that lower back pain during a colon or liver cleanse could indicate sand, debris, or stones in the kidneys. )

I used the oils of Rosemary, Geranium, and Juniper emulsified in agave with the juice of a lemon (I’m gagging right now because it is such a horrible tasting drink) as outlined in the EODR. I had been supporting my bladder about a week prior to starting this elixir since I could tell I had an old urinary tract infection (UTI) I wanted to be done with once and for all. I thought it would be a nice thing to do for my bladder, who knew it would be such a nightmare!

Within an hour of drinking that drink, something nasty and powerful was released throughout my system.  My fevers were high, the chills were unlike anything I had ever experienced, and the pain, oh, the pain traveling down my back over a few days, into my pelvic region, near my bladder, and into my bones…was practically unbearable. It reminded me of the pain I experienced while in labor with my son, and I kept asking  and pleading with my OB/GYN, “Can I get my epidural now, please?” It was that intense, and it came in waves.  I drank this very drink 3 more times, and every time I drank it, it tasted more awful than the time before (even when 1/2 the strength), and within a few hours, my body would be in pain, my temperature would soar, and on the last drink I actually started to cry while drinking it. I took 2 sips the best I could then poured it down the sink, and I swore I wouldn’t touch it again until I was feeling better and I could come up with a better solution.

So, I’m feeling better. Though worn out like a rag doll.

The most important thing I want cleansers to know is how important it is to be doing kidney cleanses and regularly supporting your kidneys. I don’t know exactly how this will play out in my day-to-day life, but given what I’ve gone through the past 3 days, I am committing to something that feels good to me, is easy on my body, and something I can do daily to support my kidneys.

There are a few good things about the kidney cleanse:

1. It seems to be virtually emotional detox free. Anything I felt emotionally was because I felt so awful physically. There were not any big issues that came up. Whew.

2. The whites of my eyes are stunningly white right now.

3. Your body will not let you do what you can’t handle, crying while sipping the drink is a good sign that it’s time to back off.

The ReJuvanate (Liver) Program uses Comfortone, Juva Power, and Detoxzyme

The Rejuvanate Program is pretty fascinating, powerful, and focused. We truly can’t have total health unless our livers are completely clean, healed, and nourished to be strong. The liver performs some 40,000 incredible functions everyday, and filters the blood in your body every 3 minutes. So whatever junk you put in or on  your body, whether you eat, breathe, wear, copulate, drink, or bathe in it…it doesn’t go away. You are a porous body, and as such, ALL of those things must be cleaned up by the liver.

Why Comfortone? To break through the hardened plaque and mucus that’s been stagnating in your colon all of these years – that’s no beer belly! It’s impacted fecal matter. And that’s gotta come out first, before the liver can expel it’s impacted waste and viruses – so it doesn’t poison you by stagnating in a toxic colon. You have to have consistent, regular, and healthy elimination – this is not negotiable at all. It’s a MUST.

Why JuvaPower? The liver is the largest fat organ in the body and the largest toxic waste filtering system. It supports your immune system, red blood cell creation, co-manufacturing hormones, and assisting in digesting. JuvaPower acts to bind these acids in your body, cuts through mucus in the liver and colon, and cleanses the liver.

Why Detoxzyme? I’ts one of the most powerful enzymes for breaking down acid in the body, and detoxifiying the body. (I love it because it takes the edge off of detox).

And there you have it – this is a quick summary from some important points made by Gary Young at one of the annual conventions, you can find the transcript HERE.

Coffee Enemas are WONDERFUL for detoxing the Liver and Colon!

Coffee Love (FI-20473)
I am absolutely amazed at the power of Coffee Enemas, I’m so happily taken by surprise with this one. Obviously my body is enjoying it and needing it since it can effortlessly hold a one quart coffee enema mixed with a saline solution for 20 minutes.

Apparently this enema works by the circulatory system of the sigmoid colon, or lower colon. It is directly tied to the liver, and as such, the coffee serves to not only clean the blood through the liver (and your blood takes 3 minutes to circulate completely through the body – so holding this enema for 20 minutes means you’ve filtered your blood 6+ times!); it also detoxifies it, as well as dilate the ducts in the Gall Bladder  to release toxic bile.  The amino acids, apparently, in the coffee work by binding it to the bile, and the bile is thus evacuated – and NO LONGER circulates through out your system!

I LOVE COFEE ENEMAS!!!!

And…you do absorb the caffeine, but I don’t even drink coffee – and it doesn’t even give me jitters. It really makes me feel alive!

Happy Cleansing!

Coffee Enemas – Why I’m a BELIEVER!

This is what I posted at the Cleansing Forum in the Enema/Colonics Board: Again, please note that I refrain from using the “caps” key or spell checking while at the forum:

friends – you know i’m a believer in saline enemas, but i was skeptical about coffee enemas. and since i dont’ drink caffeine i couldnt’ imagine what kind of hit i would get off of a coffee enema.

lately i’ve been feeling sooooo toxic and bloaty, i’ve even had some edema which i only had during pregnancy. i knew something was up – but my usual tricks weren’t working as quickly or effectively – and i also felt like this stuff had to do w/my lymph and liver. literally, this post-swine flu experience (again, not sure if that’s what i had -but it was a strange flu)…really attacked my lymph about 3 weeks after having it. and it just brought me down.

so today i decide to an enema, and for whatever reason, i grabbed the rest of hte coffee from hubbys coffee pot, mixed it 50/50 with a saline solution and held it for about 20 minutes. i could feel my liver seeming to light up, and radiating warmth to my body. i was having so much more sensation and feeling in my feet, legs, and knees – and i could feel this warmth traveling up to my heart and to my throat.

and i held it for at least 20 minutes. one quart and it was EASY.

so i did some reading on coffee enemas – appraently they’ve been around for centuries.

i’ll give you a quick summary on how i think they work given all of the stuff i read -

apparently the lower colon, the sigmoid colon – holds the most toxins in the body as does the liver and bile. (did you know that bile contineus to recycle thru our bodies?).  when you feel sick and have the urge too poop and then feel fine afterwards, it’s bc the accumulated toxins in the sigmoid colon are starting to circulate thru your entire body.

now, the sigmoid colon and liver are tied directly when it comes to circulation. the caffeine in the coffee serves to dilate liver and gallbladder, as well as stimulate the colon. there are some specific amino acids that are hugely abundant in coffee – and this triggers an enzyme with the liver to detoxify and clean up. somehow this amino acid triggers the bile to be released, and then more enzymes and amino acids are created to BIND to the bile, and then it is dumped into the small intestine and then released out of the body instead of recirculating over and over.

that’s why you instantly feel better with a coffee enema, the toxins get bound, the caffeine and other coffee constituents help to filter the blood thru the liver – remember the circulatory system is directly tied w/the sigmoid colon to the liver – blood is recycled thru the liver ever 3 minutes, so the longer you can hold a coffee enema, the better for your blood – and cleansing your blood.

i held mine for 20 mintues and it was easy. enemas are also easier for me when they are room temperature, and my body heats them up.

i’m such a believer in coffee enemas. my new way to enemaize!

Part One Notes of the Radio Show with Dr. LeAnne

Friends, it is so much fun to do the radio show with Dr.LeAnne each month, where she takes your questions and answers them freely – talk about free medical advice! WOW! (At the cleansing forum, you can submit your questions – next show will be November4).

wow, everyone – this show was clipping along at a fast pace. we did not get to all of the 25+ questions, and dr.leanne was able to take questions live – the answers to those questions – about coumadin and blood thinners, a popping knee, and…i think there was one more but i don’t know off the top of my head

btw, did you know that dr.leanne sings quite well? i was impressed when she spontaneously broke out into “the ankle bone is connected to the leg bone…the leg bone is connected to the thigh bone…”

again, we jumped around a myriad of topics – talked about juicing in the beginning, green lemonade, and a lot of cleansing questions were answered – many related to her books! i’m glad dr.leanne said it and not me, she DOES need to come out with a 2nd edition to her book! also…i will find the new sites that are carrying her books and post them in the member blogs/sites forum.

HERE ARE THE WORKING NOTES:

1.The colon cleanse and kidney cleanse have gone really well but when people get to the Master cleanse, it gets really tought to take the salt water in the morning…I know it says no substitutions but is there anything else that I can tell them to do to cleanse the tissues in their bodies like the master cleanse does? It is very tough to get the salt water flush down in the morning when I am on the master cleanse. Is there anything else that I can do to cleanse the tissues in my body like the master cleanse does?

I get that about the salt water flush! I reread Stanley Burrough’s about the Master Cleanse. He says to do it at least once a week and then use a good laxative at night instead. The point of the Salt Water Flush is to clean out the small intestines. Enemas can’t reach there so this is a whole body enema you might say. I use Comfortone for my laxative. Stanley Burroughs likes Senna Tea. The Master cleanse really does a great job of getting all the toxins that are embedded in the tissues surrounding organs. I think it is probably the best cleanse out there to do just that. However, I suppose you could see what continues ionic foot baths might do for you. I like to use those as a adjunct to helping remove toxins from the body. You could see what taking detoxyme between meals might due. I think that it will take a lot longer to flush the toxins out that way.

2. Questions from book:  In an interview you did the beginning of the year on cleansing you suggested not starting the Master Cleanse until a few months into the liver cleanse (after the other cleansing of course – colon, yeast, etc.).  But in your book, you suggest completing the MC before starting the liver cleanse.  Which way are you finding is best?

The only reason I put the Master Cleanse before the liver in the book because Lemons are cheaper in the winter.  And the publisher liked it there better.  If you are cleansing for the first time, I would do the liver cleanse before the Master Cleanse then you can get rid of a lot of liver toxins before you do the Master Cleanse. The Master cleanse is pretty tough as it is and can make people fairly sick with the amount of toxins that it releases.  So if you are doing a first time colon cleanse, then I would start the Liver Cleanse after you have very consistent bowel movements and have at least 2 a day. Stay on the colon cleanse while you are on the liver cleanse.  I wouldn’t start the Master cleanse until you have done a liver cleanse for at least 4 months.  You don’t have to follow the seasons to cleanse.  But what is more important is that you cleanse.  It is true right now is a good time to start a colon cleanse because the colon is getting its major energy right now in the fall and it will work with you to cleanse the colon more efficiently.

3. I’m a little confused when reading the Colon Cleanse Protocol (p. 28…) and the “Afterword & Quick Reference Guide” (p. 149…) which simultaneously incorporates additional cleanses.

The protocol on page 28 is perfect to clean your colon. That is exactly how I say to do it.  If someone is really sick and very toxic then you can incorporate other cleanses at the same time while still doing a colon cleanse.  The quick reference guide in the back follows the order of the book by seasons however, you don’t have to do it that way! You can do the liver cleanse first if you want.  Once you do your first very good and deep cleanse then just follow the reference guide every year after that for a few weeks at a time.

4.   Dr. LeAnne sees the 5-Day Cleanse as a good follow up cleanse once targeted cleanses are completed.  I’m wondering if this cleanse might also be good 1st time cleanses to ease into targeted cleanses.  Seems to have worked well for us.  Your thoughts?

Yes you could use it to ease yourself into a more thorough and targeted cleanse. Mostly I feel that the Nutritive cleanse is more about getting good nutrients and fiber in the body.  It really doesn’t get the colon working again. IT can also be used in conjunction with the Cleansing Trio. Comment – we went into much more detail about the pros and cons of this cleanse, i was calling it the nutritive BUILD and not cleanse.  this cleanse is not really used at the clinic.)

5.   In the cleansing lineup… what’s the best time to do a Parasite Cleanse?  We don’t recognize any particular symptoms… but odds are not in our favor.  We also want to do the Yeast Cleanse… which doesn’t seem to be a big problem either; still we don’t pass the spit test with flying colors.  Should these two precede a Liver Cleanse?  At what point?

It doesn’t really matter when you do a yeast or parasite cleanse. But the parasites don’t leave the body until the colon is clean so you might as well wait until you have been on the colon cleanse for several months.  I put the yeast cleanse in the winter because naturally the body wants lots of meat then which is part of the yeast diet. So that much protein and fewer carbs doesn’t affect the body so much in the winter.  I also recommend not starting a yeast diet until you have gotten rid of a lot of toxins and have good bowels so you don’t have such a strong die off reaction. I have seen that people who have bad yeast and do the Master Cleanse get worse yeast so you may consider doing the yeast cleanse before a Master Cleanse. So the rule is always start a Colon cleanse before you do any other type of cleansing.

Comment: Die-off is HORRIBLE from yeast cleanses – the worst detox of the cleanses. we talked about how to support yourself w/die-off.

6.   A couple of years ago at YL Convention in a class on the 5-Day Nutritive  Cleanse we were told that NingXia Red is critical to stop free radical damage caused by toxins being freed from lipid soluble molecules that are being converted to water soluble.  And we heard that the vitamins and minerals in this cleanse also helped prevent that problem.  Is it important to drink NR while doing the other cleanses also… for the same reasons?

Yes! I believe it is important to drink NingXia Red daily! I even drink it during the Master Cleanse and during the yeast cleanse! I don’t consider NxR anything other then necessary for the body!

Comment – we talked much more indepth about this, based on blood, immune system, cellular communication, etc…

7. Is there a reason you don’t include heavy metal chelation with YL Chelex in your book?

Yes, I don’t know that much about metal cleansing.  There is a topic at Ylcleansers.com about metal cleansing as we are learning about it. I never had patients do it so I didn’t gather info. I was given EDTA at the clinic for it. I love Chelex. I use it during the Master Cleanse because I taste metals on my tongue.  Chelex has been discontinued. Here are the ingredients for it. Astragulus, Garlic, Sarsaparilla, Siberian Gingseng, Red Clover Royal Jelly, Rosemary, Roman Chamomile, Eucalupute globulus ,Helichrysum

8. Enzymes – the recommendations are a little confusing in the book – Do you take the enzymes with the meal or between meals? Can you take Essentialzyme or Detoxyme interchangably?

The reason I used Essentialzyme and Detoxyme interchangeably in the book is because at the time I wrote it the name and formula of Megazyme was being changed and we didn’t know how long it would off the market.  So we had to subsititute detoxyme for Megazyme that then changed it’s name to Essentialzyme.  They are different enzymes meant for different things. Essentialzyme  dissolves the mucoid plague in the bowel. I would take it between meals. Detoxyme assists the body in breaking down toxins. Take them with a meal to assist with protein digestion and between meals to assist with cleaning up the blood stream.

9. Does everyone have mucoid plaque to pass, or only people with poor health?

If you have had a diet that consists of white flour products and milk and little fiber and roughage then you have mucoid plaque.

9a I know a person who has been  diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis.  She is unable to perform her job in the school cafeteria and is willing to go the natural route.  I have given her information from the EODR and testimonials about YL products.    What would you do in this situation for the RA?

Get my book,  Colon and liver cleanse, espsom salt soaks, the master cleanse and clove oil. I will talk about this more speicifically on the Marketing Scents call coming up on Tuesday. I will be talking about Essential oils and Geriatrics. It will be at 8 oclock central on Tuesday night. Look on the chat lines for the announcement of times and telephone numbers.

10 Tell me more about the benefits of Cayenne pepper. Why do we need it in the Master Cleanse and what else does cayenne pepper do for the body?

Cayenne is a blood balancer. It thins the blood or thickens the blood as needed. It is great to stop bleeding or hemmorage. It stops a heart attack or stroke in 10 seconds.  It is a catalyst which means that it starts chemical reactions in the body. That is why it is so important in the Master Cleanse because it is used as a catalyst in the chemical reactions to expel the toxins from the cells.

Comment-dr.leanne shared some very touching stories about how they used cayenne on her dog that was shot, and how hubby saved her life after childbirth – made me tear up.

Happy Cleansing!
