Thoughts on Breast Cancer and what’s going on…the importance of health and cleansing
I’m writing this today in honor of my mom, Barbara Ongie, who passed away 12 years ago today, January 19, 1998. That day was Martin Luther King’s birthday, so his speech, “I have a dream” always has such deep meaning to me, as if annually, she is speaking through the grave in his passionate speech where we will have equality forever. And breast cancer, to me, is an issue of equality – in terms of health, access to health, women’s needs, women’s endocrine systems, and access to excellent nutritional health.
My friend and I were having quite a discussion about health yesterday, I don’t think she or I came up for air to divert to another topic for nearly 2 hours while visiting at her house! And some of the things I shared with her, I want to share with all of you – I’m not an expert, but I do think that they are important thoughts.
Firstly, mammograms? “Do you get them?” she asks me.
Given my history I should, but I don’t. I won’t. Why? Because I know that radiation CAUSES cancer. We know this from a multitude of studies. Even if I’m at risk of breast cancer, radiation will accelerate that risk for me; and, even the CDC has changed its mind on recommended mammograms. There’s still this invisible question mark that hangs over their heads, and I’m not putting my health in anyone’s hands who has a doubts – that even with advanced statistical analyses they do not have certainty. Clarity. It’s like riding in a car with someone who has some issues with their clarity and certainty, or just driving a wee bit under the influence, I just don’t like it.
Secondly, I share with her that tissue in breast tissue is lymphatic tissue. There’s SO MUCH we can to do keep our lymph clean from eating well, exercising, deep breathing, and massaging. Not to mention cleansing. When the lymph in our breast tissues become toxic, it’s because the toxins in our body are backing up from the colon up – the body is retaining more toxins than it can eliminate. And in my eyes, cancer is actually a healing process, it’s the body’s efforts to isolate toxins and build walls around them to protect the body. But when the body doesn’t have the resources to eliminate toxins, and doesn’t have the nutrition, minerals, and vitamins to keep the cells flexible, fluid, strong, peaceful, and well; the cells don’t have a chance to stop it.

Photo by EssjayNZThirdly, nutrition. Aaaahhh…nutrition and genetically modified foods. I am so angry about GMO foods being on the market – study after study has shown that they cause cancer lesions in mice and rats in their digestive tracts. Proteins can’t be eliminated or broken down and they just build up, and here we go again, the body identifying these unwanted invaders and packing them into clusters to be dumped, hopefully, at some point.Over 80% of your immune system resides in your digestive tract, and when that goes, so goes the rest of the body.Additionally, GMO foods FLOODED the market from about 1994-2001 and the rates of food allergies, cancers, and autism skyrocketed. No coincidence there.
In fact, according to Chinese medicine, the colon and the lungs (think breast) go hand in hand, they are both fall organs, and air elements. You take care of your colon, your lungs are taken care of, and you can eliminate toxins directly from the lung into the colon and into the stool. I know I have seen the mucus strings come from the lung and out into the stool.
So, you cleanse your colon (and you keep cleansing it because its lifelong and you never stop because every organ needs to be cleansed and rebuilt which is about a 2-3 year process)…and tah-dah…you have carved a pathway to freedom, literally, for your body and its trillions of cells packing and hoping to eliminate toxins, cancerous cells (we all have them at any given time), and have the opportunity to REPAIR themselves. Yes, REPAIR themselves, those poor little cells are working overtime, inundated with bad food, water, air, never given a chance to relax and repair themselves like they were designed to do.
That is why periodic fasting is good for the body – the digestive system gets a break and the organs get to go in and clean themselves up. That is why we’re not supposed to eat before we go to bed! The liver depends upon deep sleep because it energizes in the middle of the night, and the liver is critical for detoxification and repair. It is the most forgiving organ of the body because it so readily repairs itself. And the liver holds anger because the liver is never given a chance to do what it really wants to do, was divinely designed to do, and it gets stiffled! And, it’s why fasting is such a spiritual experience! Clearing all of that garbage within brings you almost smotheringly close with spirit, I totally get why the ancients and a variety of current religions practices view fasting as important to their beliefs, practices, and evolving relationship with God and service.
Yes, I believe with a whole heart that you can cleanse, build, and repair the cells in any tissue of your body. There are essential oils that are made for DNA repair and are university studied and tested. The greastest anti-cancer oils according to the EODR, in particular, are Frankincense and Sandalwood. Clove has nice anti-tumoral activity as well. The beauty about therapeutic grade essential oils is that they are a 99% perfect molecular shaped match to human blood – the blood knows how to work with it. The only difference between them is that blood has iron in the center of the molecule, and plants have magnesium in the center of the molecule. The oils can penetrate cell walls with ease, get the junk out, and leave the cell more oxygenated and lively than before. Think of essential oils as the “blood” of the plant. Essential oils are the most oxygenating substance known to human, and disease can only survive in a poorly oxygenated or acidic state.
I must run, but hopefully will add to the list of anti-tumoral and anti-cancer oils (strictly providing that they are therapeutic grade in quality and FDA approved for internal consumption) at a later time.
Oh yes, lemon and orange are good, as well as lavender. Who knew cancer therapy could smell so good? xo

Regina:
This is an excellent article that we should all be sharing with our friends and family.
Thanks.
Linda.
dr.linda – thank you so very much. i’m totally flattered and yes, wish it could be this easy sharing with friends and family. it’s such a divisive topic and one that means so much to so many. xoregina
