Women’s Hormones, PMS, Tweens, and In-Betweens

I am STILL completely fascinated by Dr.LeAnne’s radio show from last week. I mean, how many times have I studied the women’s cycle throughout school, college, grad school, and the years I was contemplating pregnancy and having my kids?

FINALLY! Dr.LeAnne put the women’s menstrual cycle to work! She literally guided us on what cream or oil or supplement to use on what day of our cycle and how much, to get us all balanced and in order. She used this chart from wikipedia:

All of the products she mentions are available through Young Living, and as I listened to her again on her show, I typed some notes I shared at the forum…My apologies for no spell check or bad formatting errors, I was typing and writing the best that I could. Really fascinating stuff!

From the forum I share my notes based on her radioshow:

Dr.LeAnne’s radio show is on Thursdays at noon, CST.  Hands down, this radio show is by far the most valuable information I’ve ever heard on women’s hormones and applying the tools we have w/YL products to even out our cycles. Whether it’s teens, pregnancy, perimenopause, or menopause…oh my!!! I was using her book to get my cycle straightened out while she was on leave, and she gives us the exact product to use on the exact day and how much.  I can’t even tell you how valuable this information is, I’ve taken college and graduate level studies in science and biology, I’ve seen the chart on the women’s menstrual cycle ad nauseum, and FINALLY…she puts the chart and YL stuff to WORK – pracitcal, easy, and wisely.  And, “hello, libido!” Already my friends are telling me to keep my mouth shut bc they have libido envy  Wink

This is the chart Dr.LeAnne is using is http://snipurl.com/femalecycle from wikipedia. She uses this chart so you can tell how much of what product you need to apply when. And, she is doing a followup on this show this week on the 26th; and the week prior she talked about emotions and hormones.

So, the YL products she discussed most, as I recall were Prenolone + (this is a pregnenolone cream which is the building block for ALL hormones to grow – men can use this), Progessence, Dragon Time, Sclaressence, Mister, Thyromin, Ultra Young +, Frankincense, Lavender, Super B, Mineral Essence, Nutmeg, Cleansing Trio, Endoflex, Clove, Clary Sage (and all blends – has estrogen-type of action),

The organs involved with the womens’ cycle include: pituitary, thyroid, liver, and adrenals working together along wtih the uterus and ovaries. If they’re working correctly, then your cycle will be working well…and there are certain days of the month that you use them.

Pituitary controls water in the body (and hello kidney network!). So if you’re having water retention issues w/your cycle, look at pituitary! Headaches or vision disturbances can be related to pituitary swelling.  Dr.LeAnne says that some months of heavy bleeding can cause pituitary swelling. And Ultra Young + is THE BEST pituitary support that she has ever seen. And…if you’ve ever had a head injury or birth trauma – if you have a twist where your pituitary sits, you’ll probably have a problem with pituitary.  A chiropractor that can do the SOT technique (Sacral Occiptal Technique) can help out tons. Fennel and geranium essential oils will help the pituitary and water issues.

Thyroid is important around day 14 (as it relates to the woman’s cycle), stimulating the ovaries to release their egg….it releases Follice Stimulating Hormone.  FSH.  If timing is off w/thyroid, the egg might not be released even tho FSH is released.

The liver’s job is to pick up excess hormones in the body and metabolize them and excrete them. If a colon is clogged up, then the liver has to store hormones and toxins in the fat and in the liver – the liver can’t do it’s job.

It is possible to be estrogen-dominant with LOW estrogen if your progesterone is off!

The adrenals (sit on the kidney)…are responsible for making the BASIS of all hormones in the body, they makek a type of steroid which is the BASIS for EVERY HORMONE in the body. When they are not fed nor healthy, hormones won’t be kept in balance.  Every single day of your life, B-vitamins (b-5 and b-6 and trace minerals)…so if not taking multi-greens, or super B, you are not feeding your adrenals and they cannot function. They use these as part of hormone production. The adrenals also need essential fatty acids – which come from cod liver oil, borage oil, flax oil, fish oils…Omega Blue by YL is incredible.

Minerals are needed to make your heart run, and for digestive enzymes to work. Digestive enzymes MUST HAVE minerals to work. So if you’re having digestive problems, then look to minerals. Your best minerals are from MIneral Essence, but from fresh vegetables you are growing and adding minerals to the soil. You need to eat root crops to have a lot of minerals (potatoes, beets, turnips, parsnips, carrots).

Make sure you eat WHOLE FOOD VITAMINS, not fractionated vitamins and minerals. Unless they are whole food vitamins and not synthetic vitamins…they won’t work, just like the research in the media claims! (I LOVE True Source Vitamins, they come in a packet of 3, take one morning, noon, and evening to keep your vitamins and minerals steady throught out the day! Not to mention the fact that  you get your greens such as algae, spirulina, broccoli, chorella, and barley grass -  yellows such as marigolds -  and reds such as ningxia wolfberries and orange).

She also talksabout WHY the Progessence cream doesn’t work when people say it doesn’t work for them – I believe it has to do with the timing of the month it is used and how much you’re needing.

Dr.LeAnne also talked about saliva test (which our hormones change EVERYDAY, so every spit test might not be the same!)…and how hard it is to get an accurate profile of your hormonal functioning. She talks about basal temperature readings as it relates to hormone production in your body.

There’s a book by _____ about Pre-Menopause book, great book for people in menopause as well.

Dr.LeAnne talked about moodswings, bloating, heavy bleeding, no ovulation, cramping, irritable bowel, diarrhea, low energy, headaches, depression, late periods, etc…all of these things she could nail down to the day of what oil/supplement to take to help improve the situation.

Dr.LeAnne also talked about how cleansing can really help the liver and your hormonal balance.  As such, she talked about the  Cleansing Trio (Comfortone, ICP, and Essentialzyme).
