I am so excited--I am having my first 2 mercury fillings removed tomorrow!  I love my new dentist!

I have been researching a bit and finding that bentonite clay and cilantro, among other things are good at detoxing the heavy metals from our system after such a procedure.  I found the great-sounding cilantro pesto recipe Adrianne referred to on Pine Hill that sounds perfect for this and I imagine wonderful-tasting too!

I also saw some things about chelation, using synthetic amino acids, and was thinking there must be better ways to accomplish the same thing with natural methods!  So I will start with the cilantro pesto, and follow it up in a couple days with bentonite clay--any other ideas out there for heavy metal detox?

whoooohoooo!!!! the only advice i have for you is to make sure they put one of those "rubber dams" across your mouth like they do for root canals. dr.mercola has written a ton about this. he had some mercury fillings removed, and either he inhaled the mercury as it was being ground out, or particles dropped back in his mouth and he ingested it - and did a lot of damage to his kidneys. but that's him, not you. i'm sure you could intend and get into the feeling place of having the fillings successfully removed, and hold the note of total success, total body harmony, total satisfaction and all should go just fine for you!

there are foods that are naturally chelating. i have not yet used "chelex" by young living. i was planning to do that last summer after some liver clenasing, but the liver clenase was so intense i could not. i'll try this season again.  i know that juvacleanse, which is about $100, is EXCELLENT from removing mercury - there are some published studies on it, i would have to find the transcript. but i just can't believe these people were taking 2 capsules of juvacleanse like 3x/day for a week or two...when just 2 drops in my cheek lining gave me almost instand detox/fever feeling. whatever you do w/the mercury detox, i would recommend doing some colonic afterwards, even tho we know you have a squeaky clean colon ; )

about synthetic amino acids, i wouldn't touch any synthetic anything. lemme look in my book i got yesterday (Prescripton for natural healing by balch)....she says it's a cumulative poison. no barrier for reaching the brain cells (which makes me think of cedarwood and frankincense which are high in sesquisterpenes).  and - if you replace your fillings w/silver (amalgams), those have 50% mecury.  i got porcelain crowns for my fillings.

nutrients she lists:
ESSENTIAL:
glutathione plus l-methionine and l-cysteine
selenium
vitamin e

VERY IMPORTANT:
apple pectin
galic
kelp or alfalfa
vitamin a plus carotenoid complex with beta-carotene
vitamin c w/bioflavonoids (hello ningxia red!)

IMPORTANT:
vitamin b comples

HELPFUL:
brewer's heast
hydrochloric acid - HCl (for digestion).
lecithin granules or capsules

eat organically grown foods - esp. beans, onions, an dgarlic
steam-distilled water
supplemetn w/fiber
eat fish in moderation

she talks about chelation therapy - which seems scarey to me, i'd rather go the juvacleanse, juvatone route, personally.

I am so excited to finally have this process started!  And I did it without injected anesthetic!  I blended some helichrysum, lavender, cistus, thieves, and maybe another 1 or 2 with anesthetic properties, and put a couple drops on my teeth/gums every few minutes before surgery.  It worked great!  He also has a homeopathic analgesic he used.

My dentist does a lot of these mercury removals, and has all the equipment, including a device that fits around the teeth being worked on that is connected to suction.  He uses this instead of the dam, because the mercury vapor can actually pass through the membrane the dams are made of.  He gave me an airtight mask with air for over my nose, he and his assistant had filtration masks on, he had this huge device that sucks the air through carbon filters with a hose that came right up close to my mouth, 2 huge negative ioners--he had his crap together!

I visualized me as a chick in an egg about to pip, and when he drilled, I mentally tried to pip my shell.  I'm not sure what part this had in things, but it moved my focus from my teeth to closer to the top of my nose or forehead where I was visualizing the horn on a chicks upper beak.  I got home from the dentist and my first chick is pipping!  The timing couldn't be better!

WOW!  My dentist called me this evening to see how I was doing and to ask about the oils I used.  He asked if I was sore, which I'm not and feel great, and he said that was because I didn't have the anesthetic via syringe.  He asked again if I had any pain and if I had a high pain thresh-hold, and I rambled off some of the oils I used and told him I would get him the list--he thinks this could help other patients.

Sorry Adrianne, I think Nevada's a bit far from you Wink but I found him by googling holistic dentist and the name of my city.  He uses the Huggins protocol which I didn't research too much, but I think it is the method of how to remove the mercury safely.  Anyway, that might be a good word to use in your googling also.

I am SO HAPPY right now!  Grin

I am getting the rest of the mercury out of my mouth in 2 weeks!  We were waiting for the preauthorization to come in from insurance to get a better idea of how much my out of pocket expense would be, and this isn't gonna be cheap--but I'm investing in my health!  Seriously, my body temperature has been about a degree low for a long time, which is a side effect of mercury toxicity.  Since the body induces high temperatures (fevers) during times of illness, it can't be good to have artificially low body temperature for so long.  Of course that's just an apparent symptom that I can measure...  I'M SO EXCITED!  NO MORE MERCURY IN MY BODY!!

I'm going to really ratchet up the cilantro afterward, and of course keep doing the juvacleanse--maybe even more than the 5 drops to the cheek 3 times a day I am doing now.  I have more chelex on the way...  I am definitely going to make the chelation pesto this time.  The last time I ate tons of cilantro but didn't actually make it into pesto, but I love pesto!  This is going to me my best buddy for a week or 2 afterward.

I love it that my liver is already detoxifying and will be better able to handle the load of any mercury that gets stirred around my body during this process.  It seems like last time I had a day or 2 that I was really tired and felt I was detoxing a bit.  I think I will do another MC about a month afterward-say around the middle of May.  I may even make this a longer one-say 15-30 days--whatever feels right for my body.  I think in the past I have made plans with friends for when the cleanse was over, and started looking forward to those plans rather than focusing on rather my body was finished cleansing at the time.  This is a breakout year for me beyond belief!

I went back to my dentist today and he ordered the clove to offer to his other patients that don't want a needle anesthetic.  I can just imagine him offering it to all his patients after he gets some good reviews!  Next I'll have to tell him about Peace & Calming!

We also talked about a new zirconia tooth implant that is common in Europe and that he expects to be doing before long.  Apparently it is a much better option than the titanium implants.  I want to get my root canals out, especially since one of them is showing signs of infection.  For now I am putting thieves on the gum, and I imagine that will get me through.  I can only imagine when doc sees how things have cleared up he will offer that as an option to antibiotics to other patients.

I finally had the infected root canal pulled today.  Even though I was making progress with the infection, I saw this tooth as being a lingering source of continued infection.

I looked up Gary's pain formula and mixed it up in a balsam fir bottle. I took this with me and put in in capsules just before I went inside. It filled almost 4 capsules, and I inserted 2 rectally and swallowed the other 1.75 or so.

I also had mixed up 5 drops each wintergreen, lavender, helichrysum, onycha, and copaiba which I dabbed on my gums beforehand, and also dabbed clove a time or two.

The oral surgeon looked at me like I was crazy when I told him I wanted my molar out without even a local anesthetic, and said 80% of his patients do it under general anesthesia.  But he agreed to do it, and kept stopping to see if I was ok.

It was a stubborn tooth and I felt pressure when he was working on the 2nd root that was super stubborn, but I'm sure I would have felt something even with the local.

Afterward, he put a QTip on a wooden stick (not sure what it's called) into my mixture mentioned above, and dabbed it into the tooth socket for me.  He offered lortab and antibiotic prescriptions which I declined, and told me to use ice for swelling.  But I haven't had any swelling, and haven't used any ice!  I guess the lavender and copaiba really helped with that!  I have continued applying this mixture every half hour or when I think about it to expedite healing, alternating with thieves in lieu of the antibiotic.

What makes this relevant to this thread is all the amalgam that was in this tooth!  After the crown popped off, Doc drilled to separate the 3 roots so he could pull them out separately.  So he drilled, and drilled, and drilled, and stopped and then drilled some more.  This tooth had an unusual quantity of mercury in it, and so I am REALLY glad I had it pulled!  I doubt all the proper Huggins protocol was followed, but I have already detoxed most of the heavy metals in my system, and can handle a few more now.  It's time to ramp up on the bentonite clay and coriander!

I feel great this morning!  I haven't used any oils on the tooth for over 8 hours, and there is no pain or swelling at all!  A coworker had a similar tooth removed a while back and commented how she had been all swollen and felt terrible and went to bed early that day. I worked til midnight with no problem at all. The surgeon called me about 9 pm to see "if I was still alive and if I needed anything". He saI'd right after surgery I belonged in Ripleys believe it or not.

When he was working on that 2nd root he and the assistant commented to each other "figures this would be the one time there's no anesthetic" or something to that effect, like that was an an usually difficult tooth. Half way through, he was like "you are SURE you don't want some novacain?

I am really glad to have it out of my mouth. I don't think I'll do the implant. It is so much money between the implant and crown (like $4000) and a bridge would be around $3000. Also I'm kinda wondering how a foreign body in there would affect energy flows although the zirconia is said to be biocompatible unlike titanium. But it's out of sight and I have plenty of other teeth to chew with so I'm happy to just live without  anything there.

I just realize. I didn't wake up with a stuffy nose like I had been the last couple months or so!  The infection was up near the sinuses, and that had to be the source!  I have extra dander in the house right now and thought it could be either thing making me stuffy at night, but now I know. So I'm REALLY glad to have it gone now!

My surgeon had mentioned repair work working through the gums to save the root canal as an option, and then when he took an XRay he was like, this tooth really needs to come out (the same thing my biologic dentist had told me.)

I'm not sure how old the filling was, but Im pretty sure it was from the dentist I used before my other root canals from 17-18 years ago or so (which have never given me a problem).  I am SO glad to have that mercury out of there!  Anyway, if anyone reading this is considering a root canal, please do your research and use the oils instead. But if you go forward with the root canal, ask around and get the best doc in town to do it, that has been doing it a long time, etc. The dentist I used for those that I still have came highly recomended by someone that had lots of work done and did her homework first. I don't remember the details, but I know there were extra steps he took to prevent future problems. I didn't know anything about the doc that did this root canal and it gave me problems after only 2 or 3 years!  Lesson learned, but it's too late for me.
